I’ve been in the legal field, wearing a variety of hats, since 2004. My legal career began working directly and only with our clients, which gave me a special insight into what each and every one was going through during the course of their cases. My empathy and passion for our clients grew far beyond my station at the time. I knew I had to become a lawyer to truly be the best advocate for those in need. As a single mom, I juggled a full-time job while attending night school until I earned my Juris Doctorate in 2015. I passed the California Bar Examination shortly after, and was admitted to practice law in May of 2015. I am now a proud partner at Villapudua & Somera, PC – a firm that works tirelessly to fight for our clients’ rights.
During the course of my career, I’ve had the pleasure of working with – and learning from – prominent attorneys in the area. My participation and membership in local organizations and committees dedicated to contributing to society has lended a level of humility that I believe to be a crucial compliment to the aggressive and zealous advocate that my clients need.
I take great pride in the level of dedication and commitment I have for my clients in terms of demanding the best possible results.
Trina Cervantes is as sharp and hard working as she is empathetic in her practice of law. Before becoming a partner in 2018, Ms. Cervantes learned the legal system inside and out, holding a position as a full-time Certified Law Clerk and Firm Administrator while she attended Law School at night. She has worked on over 9,000 cases in her law career, which provided her invaluable knowledge—not only in the courtroom, but in her relationships with her clients. Ms. Cervantes lends a personal approach to every case. She is aware of the anxiety that clients endure throughout the legal process and has committed herself to being there for each client every step of the way to secure the best possible outcome.
While pursuing her Juris Doctorate degree, she worked hand-in-hand with Mr. Somera and other prominent attorneys in the area to achieve successful judgments in hundreds of cases at both local and state levels, varying from murder defense to prosecuting police assault and civil rights cases. She has handled Complex Litigation cases as well as Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, and Appeals, and even written appellate briefs that resulted in new law in California.
